Festival greetings
Make an animated Makar Sankranti card with kites and the name of the person you are sending it to. Pick a design and a wish in English or Hindi, and share it.
Happy Makar Sankranti, their name!
Choose any of these in the form above. The card shows it under the name of the person you send it to.
Makar Sankranti 2027 falls on Thursday, 14 January.
Makar Sankranti marks the sun’s entry into Capricorn (Makar) and the start of its northward journey, Uttarayan, towards longer days. Unlike most Indian festivals it follows the solar calendar, so it falls on 14 January almost every year.
It is a harvest festival with many names: Pongal in Tamil Nadu, Bihu in Assam, Uttarayan in Gujarat, where the sky fills with kites. Til-gud laddoos are shared in Maharashtra with “til-gul ghya, god god bola”, and in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh the day’s food is dahi-chura, tilkut and khichdi.
44 to choose from: Indian festivals, national days, birthdays, anniversaries and every day of Valentine’s week. Each comes in 5 animated designs, from fireworks to confetti.
Type who the greeting is for, your own name if you want it signed, and choose one of 15 wishes in English or Hindi. Nothing is stored — the names live only in the link.
Share it on WhatsApp, through your phone’s share menu, or copy it anywhere. It opens as an animated card made for them.
